2. Basic principles of data processing
We process personal data only to the extent necessary for providing our website and our revodocs app, as well as for communication purposes. This processing is based on Article 6(1)(a), (b), and (f) of the GDPR. All data is processed for specific purposes and subsequently deleted or anonymized, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
3. Visit our website
When you access our website, technical data (e.g., IP address, date and time of access, browser used, page accessed) is automatically processed. This processing serves to ensure the security and functionality of our website. The data is stored for a maximum of 30 days. The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
4. Cookies & Consents
We use cookies to technically provide our website and – with your consent – to analyze and optimize our services. Technically necessary cookies are required to ensure the basic functionality of the website. Analytics and marketing cookies help us evaluate the use of our website and improve our services. You can manage your consent using the CookieYes tool, which allows you to change or withdraw your selection at any time. The legal basis for the use of technically necessary cookies is Section 25 Paragraph 2 of the German Telecommunications and Telemedia Data Protection Act (TTDSG). The legal basis for cookies requiring consent is Section 25 Paragraph 1 of the TTDSG in conjunction with Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter a of the GDPR.
5. Analysis & Marketing (only with consent)
If you have given your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads to analyze the use and reach of our website. These Google services are provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie tool. Google also processes personal data in the USA based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and additional standard contractual clauses. The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
6. Embedded content (YouTube videos)
We embed explanatory videos on our website using youtube-nocookie.com. A connection to YouTube's servers is only established after you actively click on the video. The legal basis for this is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Further information can be found at: policies.google.com/privacy
7. User account / revodocs app
To use our revodocs app, a user account is created. In doing so, we process, in particular, your name, email address, roles, and technical log data. This processing is carried out for the performance of the contract based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. If our app is used on behalf of schools or other educational institutions and personal data of students is processed in this context, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of a data processing agreement pursuant to Article 28 GDPR. The provisions agreed therein apply in addition to this privacy policy. Technical log data is deleted after 35 days at the latest.
8th Newsletter
Our newsletter is sent via the SAP Marketing Cloud (server location: Germany). Registration uses the double opt-in process. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email or by email. The legal basis for this is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
9. Social media links
Our website contains links to external social networks (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest). No personal data is transmitted to these providers when you visit our website. Data processing by the respective providers only occurs after you click on the corresponding link.
10. Fonts (Webfonts)
We use locally embedded fonts. No data is transferred to third parties.

Our systems are SSL/TLS encrypted and protected by appropriate technical and organizational measures. We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy as needed. The current version published on our website always applies.

Data protection principles
Der Datenschutz an Schulen richtet sich nach der DSGVO, dem Bundesdatenschutzgesetz sowie nach landesspezifischen schulrechtlichen Regelungen der Bundesländer. revodocs unterstützt Schulen bei der sicheren und effizienten Umsetzung dieser Anforderungen.
GDPR-compliant system architecture
Unsere Anwendung wurde nach dem Prinzip Privacy by Design & Default (Art. 25 DSGVO) entwickelt. Technische und organisatorische Maßnahmen (TOMs) stellen ein dem Risiko angemessenes Schutzniveau sicher: Verschlüsselte Speicherung und Übertragung aller Daten. Automatisierte Backups & hohe Ausfallsicherheit. Zugriff nur nach dem Need-to-know-Prinzip. Protokollierung und Nachvollziehbarkeit von Änderungen. Pseudonymisierung, wo immer möglich. Alle TOMs sind im Auftragsverarbeitungsvertrag (AVV) dokumentiert. Der AVV kann auf Anfrage eingesehen oder heruntergeladen werden.
